Blake Rider — Chief Executive Officer

Blake is an electrical engineer with almost twenty years of experience in industrial automation across various Alaskan industries, including municipal water and wastewater, seafood processing, and power systems. After founding Alaska Automation, Blake worked with Kyle to develop and implement the software prototype that became the foundation of Structure, then partnered with Jake to launch the company. He has a clear vision for Structure well beyond its first software release and is a tireless advocate for its employees and the remote communities they serve.

Kyle Farley-Robinson — Chief Technology Officer

Kyle is an Integrator and Electrical Engineer in Training, and one of the co-founders of Structure. He brings years of Industrial Automation experience from his time at Alaska Automation, where he worked alongside Blake Rider (CEO). His scope of work spanned SCADA, PLC programming, electrical design/build, and network design/build, across a wide range of industries including hydro-electric, fish processing, oil and gas, and municipal water/wastewater treatment. Drawing on that experience, Kyle partnered with Blake to develop the concepts and prototype that is foundational for Structure SCADA.

Jake Haas — President

Jake has over twenty years of experience in the financial and commercial real estate industry and has founded multiple businesses in Alaska. He took Structure from concept to reality, assembling a strong team that includes a development group comprised of industry leaders and a powerful operations team run by Alaskans. Jake's unwavering commitment to Structure's success has been a significant driver of the company's rapid progress toward its first software release and will remain critical to its growth going forward.

Matt Curfman — Software Director

Matt is a software and systems architect with experience spanning AI, GPU compute, virtualization, industrial control, and cloud systems, with deep specialization in industrial, robotics, and automotive platforms. After completing a 32-year career at Intel Corporation, Matt joined Structure to help fundamentally change the SCADA market to benefit integrators and operators.

Matt Fife — Software Architect and Team Lead

Matt is a software developer and engineering leader specializing in product development, graphics technologies, software architecture, and performance optimization. He joined Structure after a 25-year career at Intel where he spent his most recent 5 years leading a team that developed innovative features in the industry's leading CPU overclocking tool used by millions of enthusiasts and over a dozen major hardware partners. Before that he worked extensively developing and optimizing high-performance 3D applications and commercial games, performance tools, and samples. He has extensive experience working directly with automotive OEM's, embedded systems, and in technical customer roles. Matt has won multiple awards for innovation and technical excellence.

Bruce Ricker — Lead, Communications Software

Bruce brings extensive experience in network protocol programming to the Structure team. He is proud to contribute his technical expertise to help achieve the company's innovative goals. Bruce is particularly passionate about how Structure is 'flipping the script' on SaaS to directly benefit small communities.

Jeremy Ingle — Frontend Developer

Jeremy Ingle is a Principal Software Engineer with more than two decades of experience building web applications, digital platforms, and enterprise solutions. Rooted in front-end frameworks but skilled across the full stack, he has led technical teams, managed project delivery, and translated complex business requirements into scalable solutions across agency and client environments. His work spans frontend architecture, full-stack development, accessibility, performance optimization, and emerging technologies — delivering award-winning digital experiences throughout his career.

Robert Mwaniki — Senior Software Engineer

Robert Mwaniki is a software engineer with a strong background in embedded systems, EV charging technology, industrial automation, and full-stack software development, with over five years of experience building and troubleshooting software across hardware-connected systems, cloud platforms, and web applications. He is a practical problem solver who enjoys debugging complex technical issues, building scalable tools, and connecting software with real-world devices. He is interested in working for Structure because its industrial SCADA solutions align closely with his passion for building reliable software for real-world industrial systems.

Raja Hamer — Chief Operations Officer

Raja Hamer is an operations leader who built his career through hands-on experience, leading teams, solving problems, and delivering results in demanding industrial environments. Over the past 15 years, he has managed skilled trades teams, major capital projects, facility upgrades, automation initiatives, and large-scale operations supporting around-the-clock production. Known for his practical approach, honesty, and reliability, Raja believes strong organizations are built by empowering people, removing obstacles, and creating a culture where teams can do their best work. As COO, he focuses on turning vision into execution and helping build solutions that make a meaningful impact for customers and the industries they serve.

Rielly Walsh — Chief Administrative Officer

Rielly holds a degree in business and public policy from Gonzaga University. She began her career working in the Department of Labor and Workforce Development for the State and at a local lobbying agency, gaining firsthand experience in policy, advocacy, and community impact. She later transitioned into financial technology and wealth management in Seattle, where she spent five years supporting clients and managing teams in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment. As a lifelong Alaskan, Rielly didn't think twice about the opportunity to return home and join a company dedicated to strengthening our communities and supporting our people.

Samuel Nelson — Engineering Director

Sam Nelson brings 20 years of hands-on experience in rural Alaska power and telecommunications utilities, having worked his way through the trade as a Journeyman, Superintendent, and Project Manager. His career began after college when a move to Skagway, Alaska turned into a lasting commitment to the unique challenges of remote infrastructure. Working across some of the most demanding utility environments in the country, Sam developed a deep, ground-level understanding of industrial control systems — including the limitations that have long held the industry back. That firsthand experience with the shortcomings of traditional SCADA systems is what drives his passion for the work being done at Structure, where he is proud to be part of a team redefining what industrial automation can be.

Josh Hunter — Construction Director

Josh Hunter brings decades of Southeast Alaska construction experience. His career spans residential builds for local families, municipal developments, and large-scale critical infrastructure projects that support communities throughout the region. As Structure grows, Josh's in-house construction expertise ensures the success of projects that advance the company's products, operations, and people.

Peter Peel — Lead Hardware Engineer

Peter is a third-generation Alaskan who grew up in Juneau and spent his summers commercial fishing throughout Southeast Alaska. After earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he built his career in industrial automation and control systems, working on projects across Alaska. Following the attainment of his Professional Engineer (PE) license, he founded his own engineering company specializing in the design and manufacture of industrial control systems and control panels. Peter also serves as Lead Hardware Engineer at Structure, where he leads the development of hardware and infrastructure solutions.

Credentials: Bachelor's — Mechanical Engineering (Montana State University); PE License (Alaska), Electrical Control Systems.

Josh Triplett — Rust Strategic Advisor

Josh is a developer on the Rust project, working on the language, standard library, and Cargo package manager. Josh cares about building welcoming, inclusive communities that lift people up, and building solutions to systemic problems. Josh has extensive experience with Open Source processes, communities, and culture.

Credentials: PhD — Computer Science, Portland State University.

Dan Palof — Operations Specialist

Dan's skills are hands-on with the Comms Vault team, our UL program, database, art department tech support, and operations. He came to Alaska to pay for college in the fishing industry and eventually settled at Cardinal Glass in Wisconsin as a controls electrician. He returned to Alaska in 2007 as Silver Bay Seafood's Electric Department Manager. He established a UL panel shop, designed and built control panels for SBS plants.

Credentials: Bachelor's Degree in Theater, Lighting Design, with a Minor in Communications and the Arts.

Davin Savikko — Art Director

Davin has turned a passion for creating and directing art into a career. He has taught students from Kindergarten to University for the last 20 years. Davin takes pride in creating an artistic experience for whatever audience may be in front of him. A lifelong resident of Southeast Alaska, Davin is excited to join the Structure team with his friends and neighbors!

Joe Nelson — Partnership Director

Joe has spent his career shaping organizations that develop local capacity in Alaska, with a particular focus on rural communities. He grew up commercial fishing in Yakutat, Alaska, and is a member of the Teikweidi (Brown Bear) clan and child of the Kwaashkikwaan (Humpback Salmon) clan. A lawyer by training, Joe is a longtime board member and former chairman of Sealaska Corporation, Co-Chair of the Alaska Federation of Natives, President of Alaska Legal Services, Chair of Outer Coast, and President of the Southeast Village Fisheries Collective. He is excited to bring his experience and deep Alaska roots to the team at Structure.

Silje Lunde — SCADA Quality and Customer Experience Lead

Silje Lunde holds a master's degree in pedagogy, with a focus on psychology and mental health. She is passionate about how we think and make sense of complex information, and how this shapes the way we experience the systems around us. At Structure, she brings this interest and attention to detail to the evaluation of SCADA software from both user and system perspectives. Driven by the opportunity to bring together her passion for people's wellbeing and her growing love for software development, Silje is grateful for the chance to help build systems that respect the work of operators and integrators, and support the communities that rely on them.

Chrissy Roes — User Graphics Lead

Chrissy's experience includes producing content for public media in Unalaska, serving as an associate producer for The Deadliest Catch, and working as a camera assistant on the stop-motion animated films Boxtrolls and Paranorman. She currently works as a video editor for the Aleutian and Pribilof Islands Association and she is grateful for the opportunity to work in service of Alaska's communities.

Ephraim Froehlich — External Affairs

Ephraim Froehlich (BA, Dartmouth; J.D., University of Maryland School of Law) leverages nearly two decades of experience as a policy expert and relationships developed at the highest levels of government to achieve legislative and regulatory results. He was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska, where he grew up with many members of the Structure team, dominating them in nearly every possible athletic endeavor. Ephraim joined Structure in 2025 and has been leading its external affairs.
